Family Time

🧠 Healthy Minds: Spooky Edition

For those families that will be staying at home, here is a fun way to keep your kids moving this week:

Monster Dash Haunted Obstacle Course - Turn your yard or living room into a Halloween-themed obstacle course! Use pillows as "tombstones" to jump over, crawl under a “spider web” made of string, and balance on a "tightrope" made from tape. You can make it even spookier with ghosts made from tissue paper. This is a fantastic way to sneak in some cardio while letting kids use their imaginations.

Halloween is the perfect time to challenge your kids' creativity and critical thinking skills while having fun! Here are a couple of brain-boosting activities that fit right into the spooky season:

Haunted Escape Room DIY - Scary Halloween Puzzles for Parties and Kids
Haunted House Puzzle Hunt

Create a “haunted house” scavenger hunt around your home or yard. Leave clues that require your kids to solve riddles or puzzles in order to find the next spooky item or location. This encourages problem-solving and logic, all while engaging their imagination.

Ghost Story Time

Gather the family around and take turns telling ghost stories. You can start by telling classic ones, then encourage your kids to make up their own spooky tales. This helps develop creativity, language skills, and imagination, plus it’s a fun way to bond as a family!
