📊 Tackling Obesity with BMI Awareness
Our obstacle courses make exercising FUN!
Childhood obesity is a growing concern, but there’s something parents can do right now to help manage it and that is, to track their child's BMI (Body Mass Index). BMI is a simple way to check if your child is in a healthy weight range based on their height and age. With obesity rates still climbing, monitoring BMI can help you make informed decisions about your child's diet and exercise needs.
The good news? Small changes in daily habits can make a big difference. Encourage your kids to stay active by joining fitness programs, like those we offer here at Fitwize 4 Kids, which make exercise fun and engaging. Whether it’s a circuit workout or a game of tag, physical activity helps kids burn calories while boosting their mood and self-esteem.
Quick Tip: Regularly check your child’s BMI with our easy-to-use online calculator. This helps you stay on top of their health while making adjustments as needed to their diet and exercise routines.

Did you know that after-school programs are stepping up to help tackle food insecurity in kids? By providing nutritious meals and snacks, these programs help ensure children get the food they need to thrive.
Food insecurity is the condition of not having access to sufficient food, or food of an adequate quality, to meet one's basic needs.
According to a recent report, expanding nutrition programs not only benefits kids' health but also boosts their academic performance. At Fitwize 4 Kids, our after-school program offers healthy snacks and nutrition education, making sure kids have the fuel they need after a long school day. Our mission is to provide both physical fitness and food security, so every child leaves feeling stronger, inside and out.
Quick Tip: Keep the pantry stocked with easy, healthy snack options like fruit, yogurt, or whole grain crackers. This way, after-school hunger won’t lead to poor food choices. When possible, make healthy snacks for your kids.
Sponsor a ChildMany children in our community still lack the means to attend a proper study program or fitness class. You can help a child reach their full potential through our donation program. Be sure to check out our scholarship program. |
